# Nice AI vs ChatEngine

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChatEngine at 100% against Nice AI's 60%. ChatEngine also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (185 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nice AI sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and ChatEngine sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatEngine holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatEngine has 185 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Nice AI's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChatEngine's.

Nice AI ships an update fortnightly, ChatEngine every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
