# impause vs ImpulseLog

The clearest difference is update cadence: ImpulseLog at every 3 days against impause's fortnightly. impause's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (31 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. impause sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ImpulseLog sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

impause holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: impause has 31 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of impause's written reviews are positive against 75% of ImpulseLog's.

impause ships an update fortnightly, ImpulseLog every 3 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
