# LyrPlay vs nexTrack

The clearest difference is monetization model: LyrPlay at free against nexTrack's free with in-app purchases. LyrPlay also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). nexTrack's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LyrPlay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and nexTrack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LyrPlay ships an update monthly, nexTrack weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
