# Ahem vs Chatter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ahem at every 9 days against Chatter's every 2 months. Ahem also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ahem sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Chatter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ahem ships an update every 9 days, Chatter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
