# Skywork vs HiNoter

The clearest difference is monetization model: Skywork at freemium against HiNoter's subscription. HiNoter's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and review sentiment (62% vs 34%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skywork sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month and HiNoter sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HiNoter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HiNoter has 943 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 34% of Skywork's written reviews are positive against 62% of HiNoter's.

Skywork ships an update every 10 days, HiNoter every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
