# Playbacks vs AutoNote

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Playbacks at 1.3K against AutoNote's 34. Playbacks also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). AutoNote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Playbacks sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and AutoNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Playbacks against 4.8 for AutoNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Playbacks has 1.3K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Playbacks's written reviews are positive against 67% of AutoNote's.

Playbacks ships an update every 4 days, AutoNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
