The clearest difference is update cadence: KnowVid at weekly against JacketJot's every 2 months. KnowVid also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (88 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KnowVid sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and JacketJot sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
