# Projectpal vs OnlyPals

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Projectpal at none against OnlyPals's 1. Projectpal also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 1). OnlyPals's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnlyPals sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Projectpal asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Projectpal against 5.0 for OnlyPals. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Projectpal has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Projectpal ships an update every 2 weeks, OnlyPals every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
