# enc0re vs Heard

The clearest difference is rating: Heard at 5.0 against enc0re's 4.1. Heard also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). enc0re's advantage is ratings volume (43 vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Heard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: enc0re has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

enc0re ships an update every 9 days, Heard every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
