# Wool Mania vs Yarn Quest 3D

Wool Mania and Yarn Quest 3D both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Yarn Quest 3D's written reviews are positive against 25% of Wool Mania's. Yarn Quest 3D also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wool Mania sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Yarn Quest 3D sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wool Mania holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 394 and 646 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Wool Mania's written reviews are positive against 82% of Yarn Quest 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wool Mania ships an update monthly, Yarn Quest 3D weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
