# Smart Folder vs Elapsed

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Smart Folder at none against Elapsed's 1. Elapsed's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elapsed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Smart Folder asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Folder ships an update every 2 months, Elapsed every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
