# Mapendo vs Ai EPIA

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ai EPIA at fortnightly against Mapendo's every 4 months. Ai EPIA also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mapendo sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Ai EPIA sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mapendo ships an update every 4 months, Ai EPIA fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
