# Sobri vs Ember

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ember at freemium against Sobri's subscription. Sobri's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sobri sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and Ember sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Sobri against 5.0 for Ember. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Sobri ships an update every 4 days, Ember every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
