# ForNote vs InkNote

The clearest difference is ads: ForNote at none against InkNote's shown. InkNote's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 11 months) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and InkNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ForNote ships an update every 11 months, InkNote every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
