# Pickaxe vs Dropbound

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pickaxe at every 2 days against Dropbound's every 9 days. Dropbound's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pickaxe ships an update every 2 days, Dropbound every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
