# MyChronoPro vs Trackside Stopwatch

The clearest difference is rating: MyChronoPro at 5.0 against Trackside Stopwatch's 4.2. Trackside Stopwatch's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyChronoPro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Trackside Stopwatch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyChronoPro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trackside Stopwatch has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyChronoPro ships an update fortnightly, Trackside Stopwatch every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
