# OctView vs Grass

The clearest difference is update cadence: OctView at every 3 days against Grass's every 2 weeks. Grass's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OctView ships an update every 3 days, Grass every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
