# Self vs LED Light

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Self at 95% against LED Light's 43%. Self also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 126). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Self sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and LED Light sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Self holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Self has 2.3K ratings behind it against 126, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of Self's written reviews are positive against 43% of LED Light's.

Self ships an update weekly, LED Light fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
