# Fixie vs ChatDIY

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ChatDIY at none against Fixie's 4. Fixie's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fixie sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. ChatDIY asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Fixie against 5.0 for ChatDIY. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fixie has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Fixie ships an update every 2 weeks, ChatDIY every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
