# Language Learning vs Elixir

The clearest difference is rating: Elixir at 5.0 against Language Learning's 4.6. Language Learning's advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 3) and chart position (#184 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Language Learning sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Elixir sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elixir holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Language Learning has 3.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Language Learning ships an update every 11 days, Elixir every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
