# 5 Second Rule vs Joustine

The clearest difference is update cadence: Joustine at every 3 days against 5 Second Rule's monthly. Joustine also leads on device support (5 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5 Second Rule sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Joustine sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

5 Second Rule ships an update monthly, Joustine every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
