# Xyris vs Folio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Folio at every 5 days against Xyris's every 2 weeks. Folio also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Xyris sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Folio sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Xyris ships an update every 2 weeks, Folio every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
