# FretFlo vs Arc Reactor Player

The clearest difference is update cadence: Arc Reactor Player at every 4 months against FretFlo's every 15 months. Arc Reactor Player also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FretFlo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Arc Reactor Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FretFlo ships an update every 15 months, Arc Reactor Player every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
