# Noveloom vs Staread

The clearest difference is rating: Noveloom at 4.0 against Staread's 3.1. Noveloom also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (454 vs 11). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noveloom sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days and Staread sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noveloom holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noveloom has 454 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Noveloom's written reviews are positive against 39% of Staread's.

Noveloom ships an update every 3 weeks, Staread every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
