# HZVPN vs Aper VPN

The clearest difference is rating: HZVPN at 3.4 against Aper VPN's 2.9. HZVPN also leads on ratings volume (111 vs 16) and review sentiment (44% vs 33%). Aper VPN's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HZVPN sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Aper VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HZVPN holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HZVPN has 111 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of HZVPN's written reviews are positive against 33% of Aper VPN's.

HZVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, Aper VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
