# Bookology vs Nous

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bookology at 915 against Nous's 1. Bookology also leads on chart position (#110 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookology sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Nous sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nous holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookology has 915 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bookology ships an update every 6 days, Nous weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
