# BiteBit vs Cal Plus

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Cal Plus at 1.5K against BiteBit's 1. Cal Plus also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). BiteBit's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BiteBit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Cal Plus sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BiteBit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cal Plus has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BiteBit ships an update every 3 weeks, Cal Plus every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
