# PoolHall vs Diamond

The clearest difference is rating: Diamond at 4.9 against PoolHall's 3.7. Diamond also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 11) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). PoolHall's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PoolHall sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Diamond sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diamond holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diamond has 1.3K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of PoolHall's written reviews are positive against 96% of Diamond's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PoolHall ships an update every 2 weeks, Diamond every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
