# EmberNote vs Melt

The clearest difference is rating: EmberNote at 5.0 against Melt's 4.4. Melt's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EmberNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Melt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EmberNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Melt has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
