# AI Notebook vs Record2Text

The clearest difference is update cadence: Record2Text at every 9 days against AI Notebook's every 5 weeks. AI Notebook's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Notebook sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Record2Text sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Notebook ships an update every 5 weeks, Record2Text every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
