# GOLD vs ScrapLog

The clearest difference is monetization model: GOLD at free against ScrapLog's paid. ScrapLog's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GOLD ships an update every 7 months, ScrapLog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
