# Book Reader vs AniDrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: AniDrop at every 2 days against Book Reader's fortnightly. Book Reader's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Book Reader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and AniDrop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Book Reader ships an update fortnightly, AniDrop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
