# Double Camera Recorder vs R3CAP

The clearest difference is update cadence: Double Camera Recorder at weekly against R3CAP's every 2 months. Double Camera Recorder also leads on ratings volume (154 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). R3CAP's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double Camera Recorder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and R3CAP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

R3CAP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Double Camera Recorder has 154 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Double Camera Recorder ships an update weekly, R3CAP every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
