# Double Camera Recorder vs Dual Camera

Double Camera Recorder and Dual Camera both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Dual Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of Double Camera Recorder's. Double Camera Recorder's advantage is ratings volume (209 vs 11) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double Camera Recorder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Dual Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Double Camera Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Double Camera Recorder has 209 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Double Camera Recorder's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dual Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Double Camera Recorder ships an update weekly, Dual Camera every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
