# Vanish vs Hone

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hone at none against Vanish's 3. Hone also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Vanish's advantage is ratings volume (200 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vanish sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Hone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hone holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vanish has 200 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vanish ships an update weekly, Hone every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
