# Simply Habits vs ctrl

The clearest difference is ads: Simply Habits at none against ctrl's shown. ctrl's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simply Habits sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ctrl sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simply Habits ships an update monthly, ctrl every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
