# Bindery Books vs MindShelf

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bindery Books at every 2 weeks against MindShelf's every 6 months. Bindery Books also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 1). MindShelf's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Bindery Books against 5.0 for MindShelf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bindery Books has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
