# CELPIP Prep vs CELPIP Speaking

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CELPIP Speaking at 100% against CELPIP Prep's 10%. CELPIP Speaking also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). CELPIP Prep's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CELPIP Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and CELPIP Speaking sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CELPIP Speaking holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CELPIP Prep has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 10% of CELPIP Prep's written reviews are positive against 100% of CELPIP Speaking's.

CELPIP Prep ships an update weekly, CELPIP Speaking every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
