# Banterr vs Eclipse

The clearest difference is rating: Banterr at 4.6 against Eclipse's 4.3. Banterr also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Eclipse's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (76% vs 67%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Banterr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Banterr's written reviews are positive against 76% of Eclipse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Banterr ships an update every 2 weeks, Eclipse weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
