# Dropcaps vs Bitmap Bay

Dropcaps and Bitmap Bay both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Bitmap Bay's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dropcaps's. Bitmap Bay also leads on price ($0.99 vs $1.99). Dropcaps's advantage is chart position (#172 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On rating, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Dropcaps costs $1.99 and Bitmap Bay $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dropcaps holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Dropcaps's written reviews are positive against 83% of Bitmap Bay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
