# Focus Timer vs TaskCard

The clearest difference is monetization model: TaskCard at free against Focus Timer's paid. TaskCard also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Timer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and TaskCard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Focus Timer against 5.0 for TaskCard. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 2 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Focus Timer ships an update every 6 months, TaskCard every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on August 20, 2026 and August 31, 2026 respectively.
