# Chainlock VPN vs GotoVPN

The clearest difference is rating: Chainlock VPN at 4.6 against GotoVPN's 4.0. GotoVPN's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chainlock VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and GotoVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chainlock VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Chainlock VPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of GotoVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
