# FocusHero vs Stepaway

The clearest difference is rating: Stepaway at 5.0 against FocusHero's 4.0. FocusHero's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusHero sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Stepaway sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stepaway holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusHero has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
