# Home Tee Hero vs The Yips

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Yips at 100% against Home Tee Hero's 62%. The Yips also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Home Tee Hero's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Yips sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per year. Home Tee Hero asks for nothing beyond the download.

Home Tee Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Tee Hero has 1.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Home Tee Hero's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Yips's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Home Tee Hero ships an update every 4 weeks, The Yips monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
