# Hive® Game vs Blokus+

The clearest difference is ads: Hive® Game at none against Blokus+'s shown. Hive® Game also leads on ratings volume (280 vs 47) and device support (4 vs 2). Blokus+'s advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hive® Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Blokus+ sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blokus+ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hive® Game has 280 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Hive® Game ships an update every 11 days, Blokus+ every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
