# been vs Flags

The clearest difference is ads: Flags at none against been's shown. Flags also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). been's advantage is ratings volume (162 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. been sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Flags sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flags holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: been has 162 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

been ships an update every 3 weeks, Flags weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
