# iSpeech vs Notebook

The clearest difference is monetization model: iSpeech at free with in-app purchases against Notebook's subscription. iSpeech also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iSpeech sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Notebook sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iSpeech holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 16 respectively.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
