# Writease vs Sugoku

The clearest difference is ads: Writease at none against Sugoku's shown. Sugoku's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writease sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sugoku sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Writease ships an update every 2 weeks, Sugoku every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
