# Mixy vs Mixy Stems

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mixy Stems at 50% against Mixy's 8%. Mixy's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mixy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Mixy Stems sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mixy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mixy has 313 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Mixy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Mixy Stems's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mixy ships an update weekly, Mixy Stems every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
