# Patch vs WayShot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Patch at 100% against WayShot's 32%. Patch also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). WayShot's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (4K vs 4). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Patch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and WayShot sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Patch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WayShot has 4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Patch's written reviews are positive against 32% of WayShot's.

Patch ships an update every 4 days, WayShot every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
